Context
Kirjoittaminen.fi is a Finnish website dedicated to creative writing, operated by the agency SEOhub.
Marinella Himari, founder of SEOhub and senior SEO consultant, is a well-known Finnish author who, in addition to her SEO work, teaches creative writing.
This campaign served as a benchmark to prove that a senior SEO consultant with 100% autonomy can outperform national media giants.
In the “Low Budget” category, we demonstrate that strategic precision beats massive spending.
Objectives
Our primary goal was to dominate the “New Year’s Greetings” seasonal SEO window for selected poetry-centric keywords to drive organic prospects toward our creative writing courses. The core of our strategy was a high-value “Free Gift” lead magnet – a free poetry writing course – designed to bridge the gap between informational search intent and our premium educational products.
We viewed the 2024 budget as a strategic market-entry investment, prioritizing long-term asset building over an immediate break-even point.
Based on Semrush data and industry CTR benchmarks, we set the following targets:
- Traffic: Reach 5,000+ organic visitors on Dec 31st (capturing 40% of the daily market).
- Rankings: Gain and hold the #1 spot against major national web magazines.
- Cost Recovery: Achieve 30+ sales to cover 50% of the launch costs immediately, treating the remainder as a long-term asset investment.
